Full-time vs. Part-time Nannies

Normally receive a salary of between $22 and $35 per hour

Typically, these caregivers work 40 to 55 hours per week guaranteed and includes overtime

They are normally scheduled to work Monday through Friday, but may work other days if circumstances require

Decide what benefits you would like to offer your nanny. While not required, many families contribute to, or pay in full, the costs of their nanny’s health insurance. If health insurance is not an option, consider these:

• Paid Vacations
• Paid Holidays
• Paid Sick Days
• Work-related Mileage Reimbursement (For more information click here)
• Automobile Insurance
• Travel Coverage (Families with nannies who travel domestically and internationally)
• Meals

In essence, a nanny is responsible for the complete care of the employer’s children. Household responsibilities should be discussed with the Nanny.
